If you enjoy being active, there's a huge range of breaks that might be perfect for you, from adventure holidays in Australia to mountain biking holidays in Cuba. If you’re not sure what you would like to do, why not consider a combined Adventure holiday which gives you the chance to try your hand at a range of activities. Activity Holiday Ideas

Your AITO operator can advise you on which holiday will suit you best, but here’s a few ideas of what you might like to do.

  • Bike through Cuba- Explore central and western Cuba by bike, and enjoy stunning limestone scenery, lush forests and the colonial architecture of Havana with a Cuban mountain biking holiday.
  • Walk in Italy -Take things at a slower pace with a walking holiday through the vineyards of Italy, or go hiking through the rugged landscape of Provence
  • Take a multi activity family holiday - try canoeing, rafting and abseiling with a  multi-activity family holiday in the Spanish Pyrenees among beautiful lakes and rivers and 3000-meter-high peaks.
  • Explore the Great Barrier Reef -Admire the world’s largest natural construction and over six thousand species of wildlife as you snorkel on the famous Great Barrier Reef from Australia’s east coast - an amazing holiday adventure.

Some activity holidays may require a certain level of experience or fitness - most offer options for beginners but check with your operator for more details.  There are often alternatives to the activities if some of your party are not keen to take part.  It is worthwhile checking with your insurance policy that all holiday activities are covered.
