If you’re as passionate about food and wine as you are about travel then why not try an AITO specialist’s gastronomy holiday. Get stuck in with a hands-on cookery trip, or indulge yourself at a luxurious hotel, famous for its fine cuisine. If wine tasting gets your taste buds excited, choose a wine cruise from Venice to Dubrovnik on a luxury super-yacht or sample the best in New World wines on a tour of New Zealand, California or Chile.

  • Learn how to cook and get a tan! Master your favourite curries, dals, rices and vegetarian dishes, and how to select the best produce in the beautiful Indian province of Goa
  • Enjoy valentines weekend sipping champagne in champagne, or take a light walk through the classic vineyards of burgundy, tasting along the way
  • Spend your mornings picking up cookery secrets from a greek master and your evenings at traditional tavernas on the little South Dodecanese, Greek island of Symi
  • Stay on an historical, working wine estate in the heart of the South African winelands in the Jonkershoek Valley, surrounded by the spectacular Helderberg Mountains
  • Perfect your tarte tatin and get behind the scenes of a real hotel kitchen with a cookery short break in Normandy, famous for its camembert cheese and calvados brandy

Many operators are flexible and are happy to offer tour-only prices if you wish to make your own flight or accommodation arrangements. Some also offer extended trips and add-ons if you are interested in taking a longer holiday. Generally the cookery courses do not require any experience, just a love of food and a willingness to learn.

Carmen In Rome With Andrea Bocelli
Andrea Bocelli has a world wide following both as a tenor and also as a crossover Classical artist. Originally from the Tuscan countryside near Pisa, he was sadly blinded in a football incident at the age of twelve. He went on to train as a lawyer before taken on as a pupil by his hero, the tenor Franco Corelli. From then on his career has been what can be described as incredible. In 1992 he came to the attention of Luciano Pavarotti thanks to a Compilation Album of tenors by Italian Pop Star Zucchero, which was followed by the huge hit Con Te Partiro performed with Sarah Brightman. He has been nominated for several Grammys, the first occasion back in 1999. He is listed in the Guinness book of Records as holding the unbeaten honour of holding first, second and third places in the US classical charts simultaneously.
