After a day marvelling at the wonders of the past, the Chateau Lafayette offers evening entertainment. Enjoy the ship's spacious bar and lounge area, reading or relaxing in a cosy corner, or maybe take in one of the regular evening folk and music shows.

Itinerary

DAY 1 FRIDAY HEATHROW - CAIRO Day flight with Egypt Air. Overnight at the Hilton Ramses.
DAY 2 SATURDAY CAIRO Overnight at the Hilton Ramses.
DAY 3 SUNDAY CAIRO Overnight at the Hilton Ramses.
DAY 4 MONDAY CAIRO - LUXOR Board the boat before lunch. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight: Luxor. (Lunch & Dinner)
DAY 5 TUESDAY EDFU Morning visit the magnificent temple at Karnak, followed by the imposing 28th Dynasty Luxor Temple. Later sail to Edfu via Esna. Overnight: Esna. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
DAY 6 WEDNESDAY KOM OMBO Sail to Edfu and visit the Temple of Horus, god of the morning sun. Sail to Kom Ombo. Overnight: Kom Ombo. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
DAY 7 THURSDAY ASWAN Morning sail to Aswan. Visit the Aswan High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and the Philae Temple. Overnight: Aswan. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
DAY 8 FRIDAY ASWAN Morning optional visit to Abu Simbel. Afternoon visit the Botanical Gardens by felucca. Overnight: Aswan. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
DAY 9 SATURDAY LUXOR Early morning sail to Kom Ombo. Visit the Ptolemaic temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. Sail onwards to Edfu and towards Luxor via Esna. Overnight: Luxor. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
DAY 10 SUNDAY LUXOR Morning visit the West Bank, the Valley of the Kings, where Howard Carter discovered the tomb of Tutankhamen in 1922. Continue to the adjacent Valley of the Queens, the temple of Medinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon. Afternoon is at leisure. Overnight: Luxor. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner)
DAY 11 MONDAY LUXOR - HEATHROW Depart after breakfast.
