Day 1. Fly overnight to Johannesburg.
Day 2. Arrive Johannesburg and connect to Maputo
You will be met and transferred to the Casa Lisa Lodge, which is 40 kilometres north of Maputo.
Day 3 to 8. Whale Sharks and Manta Rays [B]
After driving to Tofo there is time for lunch and in the water for an orientation dive with Tofo Scuba.

There is now a variety of accomodations to choose from in Tofo, including the Casa Barry, or Mundos Tofo Dive Resort. For those wanting superior accomodation there is a choice of a couple of new alternatives. There is the Baia Sonambula Lodge, with beautiful sea views and tasteful decorations, or alternatively the recently completetd Casa de mar Lodge. Again, a place with beautiful sea views, but also manicured private gardens with plenty of shade, well designed airy rooms and with an excellent restaurant. So there is now acccomodation for all budgets.

You will stay in Tofo for the next six nights and whilst in Tofo, you will have two scheduled dives each day. There may be the opportunity to add an extra dive in the afternoon, weather permitting and payable locally. Early breakfast is provided in the dive centre each day, prior to the first dive.Dives will concentrate on those reefs with Manta cleaning stations (24 to 30 metres deep) and areas where Whale Sharks are most common. Lunch is between the first and second dive of the day. Dinner will be provided on one day. Optional afternoon activities include a cultural and historical Inhambane city tour, horse-riding, kayaking, quad biking and a sundown cruise.
Day 9. Tofo to Maputo [B]
Transfer to Maputo Airport for flight to Johannesburg in time for your evening flight home. Alternatively join a safari to Kruger National Park.
Day 10. Arrive home

Kruger National Park Extension 4 days Maputo to Johannesburg
Kruger National Park is world famous for good reason since it offers a wildlife experience which ranks with the best in Africa. Established in 1898 to protect the wildlife of the lowveld, it stretches 350 kilometres from north to south and is virtually unrivalled in its diversity of life forms, with 300 species of tree, 49 fish species, 33 amphibian species, 114 reptile species, 507 bird species and 147 mammal species! Notable amongst its mammals are Lion, Leopard, Cheetah, Elephant, Hippo, Nile Crocodile, Giraffe and both Black, and White Rhino.
Day 1. Transfer from Tofo to Kruger via Maputo [D]
You will transfer to Croc River Lodge in Komatipoort overlooking the Kruger National Park by road. The distance from Maputo Airport to Croc River Lodge is a mere 90 kilometres, and takes less than an hour. Dinner is provided as a South African style 'braai'.
Days 2 & 3. Full day's game viewing [B, D]
You will spend two nights in the Kruger Park in accommodation that is en-suite bungalows with air-conditioning. There is a chance to spend two days wildlife viewing with both morning and afternoon game drives. Your first night will be at Pretoriuskop Camp and the second at Skukuza Camp.
Day 4. Depart [B]
The transfer back to Johannesburg after the safari will be a three to four hour road transfer and arrival time at the International Airport will be early evening, in time to catch International flights back to the UK.
