A brief programme including the neon glow of Tokyo, the stunning beauty of Mount Fuji and the temples of Kyoto - a night in a traditional Japanese inn further enhances the experience.

International flights are on direct services. Flight time is approximately 12 hours. The internal travel is by bullet train, with tours by coach.

The accommodation used is a mixture of top class hotels and a traditional Japanese inn.

Itinerary

Day 1: Outbound flight Fly to Tokyo

Days 2, 3 & 4: Tokyo Explore the capital with a knowledgeable private guide using the excellent public transport systems. Also take a trip north to visit colourful Nikko, set in beautiful surroundings. Stay at the first class Keio Plaza hotel.

Day 5: Hakone Drive to the beautiful Hakone National Park via Mount Fuji. Stop on the slopes, at a height of over 2000m and admire the views-weather permitting! Later enjoy a cruise on Lake Ashi, and a lovely cable car ride. Stay a night at the traditional Mikawaya ryokan.

Days 6, 7 & 8: Kyoto Drive to the beautiful Hakone National Park via Mount Fuji. Stop on the slopes, at a height of over 2000m and admire the views-weather permitting! Later enjoy a cruise on Lake Ashi, and a lovely cable car ride. Stay a night at the traditional Mikawaya ryokan.

Day 9: Return flight Transfer to Osaka Kansai airport for the return flight.
