The Ottoman Residence has very quickly developed a
reputation second to none. Situated on the Azmak
River, beside orange groves and framed by fragrant
pine trees this boutique hotel overlooks beautiful
views of Akyaka. It is the perfect location for
those seeking peace and quiet, relaxing with a
good book. The long, sandy beach of Akyaka is only
10 minutes’ walk away.

The Ottoman Residence has been built and designed
by its owner, Tevfik Toprakçi, who is himself, a
well known architect in the area. Undoubtedly his
masterpiece, he has paid attention to every
detail. Built in Mugla style, the mainly wood
construction incorporates 700 year old Ottoman
details and motifs, successfully integrating art
and craft. The building itself is reminiscent of
an Ottoman Han, the rooms overlooking a central
courtyard with a water feature and a translucent
roof allowing the light in and creating a very
tranquil atmosphere. Sunloungers and shades are
dotted around the pool or you can unwind on the
jumbo cushions, hammocks and comfortable garden
furniture down by the river. The skilled and
experienced chef will prepare delicious Turkish
and international cuisine in the a la carte
restaurant or you can enjoy your favourite
cocktail from the bar.

All the rooms are decorated and furnished in
authentic style, the balconies are covered with
flowers and greenery, whilst the air conditioning
units and solar panels have been neatly hidden in
the roof so as not to have an unsightly visual
impact.

It is best to take a torch if you are planning on
wandering in to the village centre in the
evenings, due to the secluded setting.

This hotel does not cater for children under 12.

Rooms: 17 Standard, 18 Duplex and 4 Superior
All 39 rooms have: air conditioning, fan, mini
bar, telephone, TV, kettle, safety deposit box (at
a charge), en suite shower and WC with hairdryer
and balcony with views over eucalyptus trees or
orange groves. The balconies in the first floor
rooms are small French Balconies, which are purely
decorative.
The Duplex rooms: situated on the top floor and
are set on two floors with a seating area (with
sofa bed), shower and WC downstairs. The bedroom
is upstairs and is reached by open steps.
Superior rooms: are more spacious and feature a
fireplace and Jacuzzi bath, ideal for honeymoons.
Facilities: Swimming pool (pool towels provided),
Sauna, Riverside setting, Bar, Restaurant,
Wireless internet access, Library, Turkish nargile
(water-pipe) café, fire place. The hotel will
exchange travellers’ cheques without charging
commission.
Transfer & Distances: 1 hour transfer from Dalaman
airport, half hour drive to Marmaris, 20 minute
boat ride to Cinar Beach, 10 minute riverside walk
to Akyaka and beach
