Right up in the beautiful hills of the Liébana, this picturesque village is notable for its neoclassical church (one of the few such buildings in the region) and the palacio of its builders, the Counts of Cortina – and for breathtaking views of the high Picos. It is a lovely spot for walkers and nature lovers, and while it feels remote is only 9km from Potes, and about an hour's drive to the coast.
