Our charming hotels
Casas Cantabricas now offers a selection of charming hotels throughout our regions (Northern Spain & Portugal). These are generally small, family run hotels and pensions offering good value and a genuine welcome. Always in keeping with the local architectural style and often housed in palaces or other buildings of historical interest, we hope you agree that each in it's own way is quite special.
They can be booked through us as part of a longer itinerary (as a stop off combined with a house, or as part of a tour) or on their own for stays of two nights or more.

Sample Itinerary

Fly or sail direct to Green Spain Fly in with the low cost airlines to Santander, Bilbao, Vitoria or even Asturias, or bring the car on the ferry to Bilbao or Santander (not included). If you come by plane we can include the car hire.
2 nights at Hotel Siglo XVIII Just outside the historic village of Santillana del Mar, this handsome building is set in lovely gardens, with a terrace and swimming pool. Furnished in the traditional period style of the region, this is a very comfortable family run hotel.
3 nights in El Hoyal Up in the Picos de Europa south of Potes, this attractive posada, well placed for walking and exploring the mountains, has a restaurant known for its excellent cooking and a swimming pool.
2 nights at Palacio de Libardon A charming family run hotel in beautifully restored, historic Casona Indiano. Set just inland the charming fishing port of Lastres with lovely beaches nearby, the hotel has beautiful gardens with fantastic mountain views, this is the perfect base to explore central Asturias and the Picos de Europa.
