Generally the best time to go on a South-East Asian holiday is between October and April when for most of the region the weather is cooler and drier. January and February are often the driest months and are followed by the hot part of the dry season where temperatures can soar to unbearable heights. The rainy season from May to October often brings monsoons and flooding. Although travelling in the rainy season is generally not bad, unpaved roads may be impassable and the humidity can be oppressive.
